Join in the fun at Australia’s largest triathlon series, the Pho3nix Queensland Triathlon Series. Welcoming athletes of all ages and abilities, we are lucky enough to host our events at some of Queensland’s most iconic and picturesque locations.
Beginners Triathlon Course
Our Beginners Triathlon Course caters for people of all ages, backgrounds and fitness abilities who have little or no experience in triathlon. Coached by Ailie Payne from Peddlar Coaching, the eight-week course provides participants with the skills to compete in triathlon or just to improve their fitness while having fun and making new friends. The course will build your fitness and confidence over the eight weeks, including entry to the Caloundra Triathlon Race on February 13th, 2022. All sessions are provided in a safe and fun training environment.

IRONMAN Western Australia and 70.3
IRONMAN Western Australia is renowned worldwide for being the place to go for a personal best, with the bike and run courses amongst the flattest on the global IRONMAN circuit.
Since its debut on the Australian calendar in 2004 the IRONMAN event has seen tremendous growth, both in size and reputation among the triathlon community, and widely recognised globally as a world class sporting event. The event has become enormously popular with athletes and spectators alike and is renowned as a spectacular destination race and holiday venue. Includes full Ironman and 70.3.
Hervey Bay 100
The Hervey Bay 100 is a long course triathlon consisting of a 2km Swim - 80km Bike - 18km Run. It takes place along the beautiful foreshore of the protected waters of Hervey Bay and is run by the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club.
Caloundra Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank Race the Roo
Runners of all abilities can enter the event with the goal to run as many loops of a 1km track as possible. Each lap is paced by a cyclist with a kangaroo mascot on the handlebars. The starting pace is leisurely, allowing beginner runners being able to keep up with the cyclist. Each lap gets progressively faster, eventually challenging even the fastest, endurance runners.
To stay in the race, you must cross the finish line ahead of the Roo. Runners unable to stay ahead of the Roo on each lap are eliminated. The ultimate winner is the runner who completes the most laps.

Straddie Salute Triathlon Festival
In 2008, 110 nervous competitors assembled on a start-line at Point Lookout not knowing what lay ahead in an event that promised an “adventure in nature’s playground”. Dubbed the Straddie Salute as a nod to the migrating humpbacks that grace the waters of North Stradbroke Island, the race was born as an offroad tri, and not one to be taken lightly.
The Straddie Salute has evolved into a multisport festival that caters for more than just those with the pioneering spirit.
Moreton Bay Triathlon

Byron Bay Triathlon
Bring your squad to beautiful Byron Bay and experience a triathlon totally Byron style. Wake up late Saturday morning for the midday race start, have your hit out, then celebrate Saturday night – you’ve earned it! For over 20 years, the Byron Bay Tri has been bringing athletes together to celebrate their season together! Olympic, sprint and tempta distances, as well as team options.
Port Macquarie Ironman and 70.3
This superb course offers a unique challenge set along Port Macquarie’s spectacular waterfront and throughout the scenic coastal region. Swim the calm protected waters of Hastings river, ride along the Pacific ocean, and run in the heart of Port Macquarie – a course renowned for its energetic sideline support from the local community. IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championship Cairns
The new IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championship home situated at the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns Airport IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championship Cairns is set in one of the world’s most iconic tropical locations and boasts a stunning backdrop that will take your breath away.
With arguably the most spectacular bike course in the world, competitors race up the Captain Cook Highway hugging the coastline from Cairns to Port Douglas. From reef to World Heritage listed rainforest, and a run along the stunning Cairns boardwalk, the race finishes in the heart of the city. This race has become a ‘must-do’ on the IRONMAN circuit, and there is every reason to believe the hype. Includes full Ironman and 70.3.
Mooloolaba Swim Festival
Welcome to the Mooloolaba Swim Festival, Presented by Sunshine Coast Daily – two long course ocean swims over two days along with a heap of great festival events for the whole family! On Saturday, the 2.5km Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba Ocean Swim. On Sunday, the ever popular Mooloolaba Mile and short course events.
Triathlon Pink - Sunshine Coast
The Triathlon Pink Sunshine Coast event is an all-female triathlon located at a venue on the Sunshine Coast. The Triathlon Pink Triathlon Series aims to encourage challenge, participation and fun, as well as raising funds for charities who provide breast cancer support, education, research and advocacy.

Located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival has been a feature event on the Australian Triathlon Calendar. Tweed Coast Enduro
Whether it is your first hit out at the longer distance, you're pushing for a new PB, or you're training for a longer distance, the long course in wonderful Pottsville will fulfill any athlete's checklist! The Enduro was created to provide a local athlete's pathway or increasing distance racing here in the Tweed, that embraces the local community and individual athlete achievement.

Hell of the West
The Hell of the West is labelled Queensland's toughest triathlon, located in Goondiwindi, approximately 350km south-west of Brisbane. Athletes will tackle one of Australia's most challenging courses, consisting of a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 20km run.
Noosa Summer Swim
The Noosa Summer Swim, Presented by Milk & Co, is a bucket list event for any keen ocean swimmer. The weekend festival offers a range of distances for every ability, from junior events to the 5.0km Noosa Grand Prix where seasoned swimmers can push their limits along side current Olympic swimmers. Also includes 3km, 2km, 1.5km 1km and junior distances.

Queensland Tri Series - Kawana Triathlon
The Queensland Triathlon Series is Queensland’s largest triathlon series with events from September to February at Kawana, Raby Bay, Robina and Caloundra. Maleny Runfest Mountain View Challenge
Take the Maleny Runfest Mountain View Challenge half marathon in 2019! Run or walk – you choose. All proceeds will assist the Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation and other local community projects.
This event started in 2011 and has grown each year. Be part of the increasing number of runners and walkers that enjoy the scenic views of the Glass House Mountains while raising money for a worthy cause. Take on the 5,000m run or ramp it up a notch by doing the 10,000m circuit. Better still sign up for the premier challenge – the REMAX Hinterland half marathon.

Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast
Perfectly located in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba Beach offers the perfect year-round climate and is an ideal location for a sporting event, a relaxing family vacation or just a great place to escape to. The relaxing atmosphere of the Sunshine Coast, the friendly people and the endless scenic beauty of Mooloolaba Beach make it a hugely popular destination to visit.
Competitors will take in the best that Mooloolaba has to offer, starting with a swim off the surf beach followed by a flat and fast bike course. The run will tie up the day’s exciting events with a two lap course around Mooloolaba’s Esplanade lined with spectators.
Noosa Classic
In August, Australia’s favourite getaway destination is set to play host to one of the world’s great cycling events. Are you ready to ride? Make your choice from three courses: The Maxi Classic, is a challenging 160km ride through some of the most breathtaking scenery you can experience on two wheels. There’s also The Challenge Classic; a 120km option for those with less time on their hands, or distance in their legs. For a more cruisy and casual experience, The Social Classic is a 45km ride through the most stunning areas of the Noosa region that families and kids will love.
Sunshine Coast Marathon
Located on the stunning Sunshine Coast, Queensland near the barrier reef and Steve Irwin’s iconic Australia Zoo, this not-for-profit event has been timed to make the most of the ideal Queensland winter running conditions. Blue skies, low humidity and mild temperatures combined with a flat course always enable fast times. Event distances include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and the 2km.
Jetty 2 Jetty
Moreton Bay Region’s most popular fun run. Race distances include half marathon, 10km, 5km & 3km, all following the scenic Redcliffe Peninsula.
Yeppoon Triathlon Festival
The Yeppoon Triathlon Festival is a two day sporting festival offering events of varying distances in Yeppoon, Queensland. The swim course is described as being in (usually!) calm ocean waters, while the bike and run legs and flat and fast around Yeppoon's surrounding roads and paths. Spectators can enjoy music and a big screen television at the finish line while cheering participants across the line.
